After Dark Wedding in Mountain Pine

Just before Halloween I had the blessing of photograph a lovely after dark wedding at The Barn at Glazypeau Farms in Mountain Pine, Arkansas.  This sweet couple is just so amazing together and I have loved getting to know them on the road to their wedding.  This summer we did a funky downtown engagement session on Dickson Street in Fayetteville and I was so excited for their big day!  They tied the knot under a gorgeous chandelier strung from a 100 year old pecan tree just after dark.  Their decor reflected their love for Halloween and everything from the centerpieces to the bridal party outfits just showed how unique and fun they are!  Everything was colorful, glittery, funky, and just very them.  I absolutely loved getting to be a part of their special day!  I hope you enjoy some of my favorites and that you’ll join me in congratulating the new Mr. & Mrs. Hall!

Suddenly Souza

A couple weeks ago, I photographed one of the sweetest weddings I’ve ever been to.  I met Jared and Brianna over a year ago and have loved getting to know them.  We did two engagements together, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.  They tied the knot in a barn filled with hay on a friend’s farm in Lamar, Arkansas.  The road to their wedding day was pretty rocky, and they even had to push the date back once, but it was well worth the wait.  Their day was lovely, intimate, fun, and just overall perfect.  It was cloudy all day until right before the ceremony when the clouds opened up and the sun was golden and glowing so beautifully.  Then after the ceremony came the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen!  It was like the heavens were celebrating just for them!  Everything about their special day was simply gorgeous!  All that to say, congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Souza!  It was a blessing being part of your big day!

Downtown Bentonville College Grad Session

Recently I did a session in Downtown Bentonville with Ashley, a gorgeous college graduate!  College grad sessions are something that I don’t get to do often, but they are one of my favorites (seriously, someone please make this a trend!).  I had so much fun with this sweet lady and her momma!  We did some photos of them together and separate and it was a blast!  I wanted to share some of my favorites of Ashley!  Congratulations to this lovely lady on her upcoming graduation!

Halloween Is Almost Here!

Can you believe that Halloween is just a little over 2 weeks away?!  Where has the time gone this year?  I wanted to take a moment to share a couple of the photos I took of my kiddos in their Halloween costumes!  Our two boys are going to be a firefighter and a dalmatian and our daughter is going to be a unicorn.  I snapped a couple photos of each of them yesterday while we had such nice weather!

Dakota + Shania

Recently I did a session with this gorgeous couple in Rogers!  You may remember their session from a couple years ago or Shania’s senior session.  I always love working with these two and it was so fun getting to see them again!  Dakota, who is a firefighter in Lowell, even got out some of gear for some adorable photos at the end of the session!  Here are some of my favorites below!

Aaron & Chloe Tie The Knot

Early this summer I did a gorgeous engagement session in Rogers with this sweet couple.  A few weeks ago they tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at Mildred B Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas.  This glass chapel is always gorgeous and it was the perfect venue for their whimsical wedding!  Complete with handmade bouquets, lace footwraps, and an abundance of love, this day was simply perfect.  Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Rogers!

A Day To Remember

I honestly don’t even know how to put today in words, so let me start at the beginning.  There is a very special little boy in Northwest Arkansas named Leighton.  His journey was read and shared by thousands as his parents documented his story on CaringBridge and his story was also featured in Peekaboo Magazine.  I fully encourage you to get comfortable, grab a big box of tissues, and read about Leighton on the CaringBridge site, however if you can’t, I’d like to share a little bit about him and what made this day so special.  Leighton was born premature and with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).  Having HLHS causes many problems on its own, and being a preemie only added to this.  Leighton is quite the fighter and pulled through, however his heart was failing and he ended up needing a new heart.  On February 5th, 2009, sweet baby Omar gained his wings.  Omar’s family decided to donate his organs and because of that choice, Leighton got a chance to live.  Today, Omar’s dad got to meet Leighton and see and hear his son’s heart beating in Leighton’s chest.  It was very emotional and I cried all the way home from the hospital.  It was an absolutely beautiful moment and I wanted to share it with all of you.  I hope this sweet moment warms your heart tonight.
